Dillon and the Easter Bunny

I took Dillon on Tuesday to see the Easter Bunny, as you can see from his picture he was less than impressed with her.

Walking

Dillon took his first two independent steps last night. Of course I was out running errands but Kurt called me right away to tell me. We tried to get him to do it again but he was not interested in trying it again. I am sure he thinks why should I walk when I can crawl much faster and you can carry me. So we will keep trying. He has a walk along walker and he just loves to push that around the house. He has not learned how to turn around yet so when he gets to wall he yells and Kurt or I will turn him around. Do you think he has us trained?! We took him out side yesterday and he walked up and down the driveway pushing the walk along, he was so proud and just loved being outside. We can not wait for the warm weather.

Dillon's first tooth

WOOHOO, finally a tooth has made a showing. We did not think one was every going to come through. But a pearly white is making it first showing on the bottom right in front.

Trip to Arizona

IT WAS GREAT!! Well it did not start out so great. The flight down there went well Dillon slept for most of it and we got into to Phoenix a 1/2 hour early, we thought bonus! It is now 9:30 am we go to get my luggage and watch everyone on our plane grabbing bags and suitcases and then the line stops and my suit case does not come off!!! So I am off to the baggage claim area to find my suitcase. Well I am told they have no clue where it is and I have to file a claim. Mean while this suitcase has everything Dillon and I need for our vacation and we are in warm clothes and it is like 80○. I am in a long sleeve black shirt and I have Dillon in fleece pants and a long sleeve onesie. Thank god for Walgreens. I will get back to why! So I file my claim and they tell me someone will call me when and if they find my suitcase. Now it is 11:30 and we have been in the airport for 2 hours! Dillon is now starting to get a little on the cranky side but so is his mom and dad. Well now we have to go and get our rental car which is off site. We take a shuttle with the driver from HELL, to the rental facility which is 10 minutes away from the airport. So I fill out all the paper work, we go to find our car which was another headache just looking for the car. But we finally find it and we get Dillon's rental car seat all situated to him and load up the mustang and we go to get it in and there is a handle coming up for under the steering wheel it is set for handicap, in case you guys didn't know Kurt and I both have both of our legs! So we can not drive this car!!! So Kurt squeezes into the car and we drive it over to the office and tell them the problem. The guy says to me," did you really have your heart set on a mustang". I am sure he could tell by the look on my face that I was about to rip into him when I said, "YES, I DID SINCE I RESERVED ONE ONLINE LIKE TWO WEEKS AGO!!!!" So he goes back to his computer and looks one up for us and HE GOES to GET IT. From this point on things got better.

I got my luggage at 9:00 pm, but in the mean time we had stopped at Walgreens and were able to pick up a onesie for Dillon and a t-shirt for my self. So thank God for Walgreens and all the junk they sell. So our thought of getting in to Phoenix early and able to have an extra day to do something was shot!

Friday Dillon and I went to the zoo and had a great time. They have a nice zoo but the people are RUDE. I wanted to get a picture of Dillon on the camel and the sign said riders had to be 2 or older. I did not want Dillon to ride the camel, well I did but when I saw the sign I was like okay I just want a picture. The girl was like NO! They have to be two and you have to pay for a ride and I was like look I will pay the $5 for the ride AND the $5 for the picture if my son can sit on the camel that is laying on the ground over there. She said, "NO, I TOLD YOU THEY HAVE TO TWO!!" I said (now I am pissed) "I DON'T WANT A RIDE I JUST WANT A PICTURE!! That camel over there is just sitting there and all I am asking is to sit my son on his back and take a stupid picture. You do not have to do anything and this zoo is going to make $10.00!" She looked at me and snapped, "NO". I WAS ABOUT TO LOSE WHEN I noticed all the children around me and I said to her, "WELL THAT IS STUPID AND YOU ARE RUDE!!!" But other then that the zoo was cool. All the animals are out side they have no inside buildings. We got to see them feed the monkeys and we got our picture taken.

On Saturday we went to the Brewers spring training game, that was fun. Dillon got an autograph from a new player. He signed Dillon's t-shirt, so that was cool. Then we just tooled around town and made a few stops and look a few things.

Sunday we flew home to snow. The weather in Arizona was great, warm in the day and cool at night, great sleeping weather.
